Start from the fitting list
Every drawing has its own mix of tees, elbows, reducers and transition pieces. Check that one line covers every fitting the job needs before you buy the first length. If it does, that line can carry the whole job.
Price the whole list, not one pipe
A single pipe length tells you very little. On a real job the fittings count is where the total is decided, so send us the full bill of materials and we will price it in both lines. Rates move with the market, so ask for today's price rather than working from a catalog figure.
Stay with one line
Fittings from one maker are made to join that maker's pipe. Whichever line you pick, stay with it from the first length to the last fitting, especially on concealed and underground runs where a repair means breaking a floor. Mixing brands halfway through a run is where leaks start, not the brand choice itself.
Ask your plumber
Many crews standardize on one line so their fusion settings and joint habits never change. If your plumber has a preference, that is a good reason to follow it.
